STUDYING ABROAD IS STRAIGHTFORWARD WITH THE COLLEGE OF GIRNE:

For kindergarten and primary school pupils, a celebration, fashion display, and costume contest were organized at the Girne College Van Campus.

The Girne College Van Campus, which has achieved success by becoming the winner of LGS Turkey with its education in Van, provides students with various options to study abroad and prepares them for the future through studying foreign languages. Additionally, the College instructors, who teach English alongside games, try to make learning a foreign language fun for kids by hosting costume parties, fashion shows, etc., on the school campus so that the kindergarten and primary school students studying the language have a better understanding of it.

"LEARNING ENGLISH IS SO EASY NOW"
Girne College Van Campus Director Özlem Bor stated, "Our educational institutions are often quite active with academics. Parents, in particular all of us, are aware of how involved their children are in their academic work while they attend school. So, we planned this event to get them out of the classroom and introduce them to the enjoyable side of life. Being bilingual and multicultural is something that Girne College consistently encourages. The English department planned a celebration with music in foreign languages to introduce English culture to our kids and parents. Both our children and we had a great time.

"OUR MISSION IS TO OPEN OUR DOORS TO THE WORLD"
Saying that our mission as a Girne college is to open our doors to the world, Bor said, "That's why we have 33 hours of English lessons per week in kindergarten; first and foremost, we attempt to establish self-confidence, as well as overcome the barriers to language learning. Our mission as a Girne college is to open our doors to the world. Additionally, our kids continue this in elementary school; we are qualified teachers with a wealth of English resources. Moreover, Girne College Van Campus-educated students have the opportunity to study at the University of Arizona and attend the University of Kyrenia and also, and they can study in Canada to receive a double diploma. Last but not least, the University of Kyrenia offers 60 and 70 percent scholarships to our students. As a result, and this is what we aim for, our students will be able to open their doors to the world with the language education vision and mission they have acquired here. We are able to do this thanks to our knowledgeable instructors. As a result, with the language skills they have received, our children can go wherever they desire after graduation from this school. As Girne College Van Campus, we will always stand behind them, assist them, and provide what they need. Learning a foreign language is a necessity to open up to the world. No matter which universities students study here, if there is a lack of English, there will always be a deficiency. English is a language that almost everyone in the world speaks. Therefore, we are also responsible for explaining the importance of English to both our parents and the region's people. We are working for this," she said. 

"ENGLISH IS NO LONGER LUXURIOUS IN THE WORLD"
Stating that the English language is no longer a luxury but a necessity, Bor said, "Girne College has a motto, a vision, and a goal to open its doors to the world and the future." As it is known, English is the primary language that will open its doors to the world. That is why we claim that "English is not a luxury in the world but a necessity." Therefore, we need to understand how English is crucial to open our doors to the world. Although the idea of learning a foreign language may sound overwhelming, we are a school whose mission is to learn by having fun in life. 

"WE DO NOT TEACH ENGLISH WITH THE ROTE LEARNING"
Remzi Ayık, Head of the English Department at Girne College Van Campus, said, "Today's event was purely aimed at enabling children to learn English language education while having fun, and we achieved this goal. Children learn a foreign language by singing, understanding, and knowing through their English education, and we do not teach English here with a rote-learning-based education system. In addition to mainstream education, we teach our children English by scraping the foreign language into the activities we have prepared for their memories. The headquarters of Girne College is a compelling center. It cares a lot about English. At this point, the staff of Girne College is very solid as in previous years, and we provide one-to-one training to the students not during the lesson but where they are normally lacking. In this sense, etudes are given, and speaking training is given by taking extra studies with a maximum of 4 people. Such studies are also carried out so our parent satisfaction is one hundred percent. Unfortunately, there was a potential to hold back foreign language learning and education in Van. Still, people enroll at our school, especially because foreign language education and English staff are very strong. We are aware of what our parents enrolling in Girne College Van Campus want, and we try to do our best as much as possible at this point. We are trying to leave them with a good English education until the end of the year and continue with our next students."

English teacher Oğuzhan Akdeniz said, "We know that English is not only a lesson but also a necessity in our lives, and we act for it. As we saw Today, we tried to take English out of class and turn it into entertainment. Our students and parents enjoyed it and had fun. When they enter the classroom, it is our greatest wish that learning English turns into an entertainment environment from a lesson, memorization, and fear, and learning it while having fun. We have a solid team here. Learning a foreign language is no longer a luxury; it is a necessity, we show this obligation to our students in an easy way with the Girne College Van Campus.

"WE SHOWED THAT THEY CAN HAVE FUN WHILE LEARNING"
Beyzanur Şakrak said, "Our main goal is to make children love English. With the activities we made today, we primarily aimed to popularize foreign language education, and our students had a lot of fun with English music. I can say that our parents are working very well in this sense, and they always support us. We usually have speaking lessons. Our aim today was to pull them away from this a little more and show a little more of the fun part of the job, sing songs in English, and introduce different cultures.

Additionally, Alper Yakin claimed that "We provide our students with a world-class English education by taking advantage of today's technology. We help our students to be self-confident individuals that speak without hesitation. In addition, we teach the culture of the language they learn. So we let them know it's more than just a lesson."
